This new build project at Henstridge Airfield Industrial Estate required a comprehensive approach to the building envelope. The industrial units needed high-performance insulated panel systems for both walls and roofing, integrated roof lighting for natural illumination, and secure access points with insulated roller doors and fire escape doors.
The project demanded precise coordination between different trades and tight adherence to industrial standards. What We Did
Our team took full responsibility for the external envelope, starting with the installation of 115mm Kingspan KS1000RW insulated panels for the wall cladding. These high-performance panels provide excellent thermal efficiency and weather protection, essential for industrial buildings.
For the industrial roof refurbishment element, we installed 80mm Kingspan KS1000RW roof panels, incorporating roof lights across 12% of the total roof area to maximise natural daylight within the units. The cladding installation process required careful planning and coordination to ensure waterproof integrity across all joints and interfaces.
We then fitted four new insulated three-phase electric roller shutter doors, providing secure, thermally efficient access points for the industrial units. Finally, our specialists installed five steel personnel fire escape doors, ensuring full compliance with building regulations and fire safety standards.
We maintained consistent communication with the client, keeping them informed at every stage of the process. This way, we ensured that all industrial cladding works went off without a hitch.
