Roof Installation at Dawkins Road, Poole
Project Outline
PC Flooring's new office premises on Dawkins Road in Poole required a full roof replacement as part of their building fit-out. The existing roof contained asbestos-containing materials that needed to be safely removed before any new installation could begin. Once cleared, the brief called for a modern, thermally efficient roof system with new perimeter flashings and rainwater goods to complete the envelope.
The project carried a personal significance for our team. As Crocker Cladding owner, Joe, put it when we arrived on site, it’s "always nice to stumble across a building that was originally built by my grandfather in the 1970's."
What We Did
The project began with the safe removal and disposal of all asbestos-containing roofing materials. Our team carries out asbestos removal in full compliance with current regulations, working in the appropriate PPE and following correct containment and disposal procedures throughout. With the old roof cleared and the substrate prepared, the installation phase could begin.
We supplied and installed a new 120mm Kingspan insulated roof panel system across the full roof area. The 120mm panel specification delivers strong thermal performance, helping to bring the building up to a modern standard of energy efficiency suited to an occupied commercial workspace. The panels were fitted to programme, with each run carefully aligned to ensure a clean, weathertight finish.
Perimeter aluminium powder coat flashings were installed at the eaves and verges to complete the weather seal and give the roofline a neat, consistent appearance. Rainwater goods were also installed as part of the package, with guttering and downpipes positioned to manage roof run-off efficiently.

The Result
PC Flooring's Poole premises now has a clean, modern roof that meets current thermal standards and is built to last. The asbestos has been safely removed and disposed of, the new Kingspan panel system provides excellent insulation performance, and the perimeter flashings and rainwater goods give the building a finished, professional appearance.
The work was completed on schedule with no remedial work required on handover. The client has a commercial workspace that is properly weatherproofed, thermally efficient, and ready for long-term use.
