A client approached us after experiencing ongoing leaks and poor insulation in their building. They needed a long-term solution that would improve thermal performance, stop water ingress, and meet current building standards. We stepped in to carry out a full roof upgrade.
The Project Outline
The project aimed to upgrade thermal performance in line with current U-values and building regulations, while also addressing gutter corrosion and ageing fascia and soffit sheets. The aim was to ensure the building was weather-tight and structurally protected for the long term.
What We Did
To resolve the existing issues and futureproof the roof, we removed the old system and installed a new built-up roofing system. This included a 220mm bar and bracket system along with an extra 220mm of insulation to meet the latest U-values and regulatory standards.
We replaced the ridges, perimeter flashings, and trims to improve durability and water resistance. Due to significant corrosion, we re-lined the gutters using a high-performance HD Sharman gutter liner system, giving the drainage a new lease of life.
The fascia and soffit sheets around the building and front canopy were also fully replaced, along with perimeter cappings for a clean and uniform finish.
Scaffolding was professionally erected around the perimeter to ensure safe working conditions throughout the project.
The End Result
The new roof and gutter system has transformed the building, resolving all previous leak and condensation issues. With improved thermal performance, the building is now more energy-efficient and compliant with current standards. The client now benefits from a 25-year guarantee on both the roof and gutters, offering peace of mind and long-term value.
