The Project Outline
The roof lights on the cafe building were old, dirty and not letting much light in. The client simply wanted these to be replaced with new ones so that customers could enjoy a large space filled with natural light.
What We Did
The project was straightforward and quick for our team.
We completed a quick site survey to assess the work that needed doing. On this visit, we discovered how many roof lights needed replacing and assessed the shape and style of the roof and access to it. This information allowed us to plan the installation to ensure our staff, the Farmer Palmers staff and guests were safe.
We went away and sourced the roof lights and scheduled a fitting day.
Returning to the site, we installed 20 newly supplied roof lights across the roof of the cafe in a day.
Safety nets and scaffolding were set up around the building to ensure those working on the roof and those coming and going underneath it were safe. When setting this up, we made sure that the entrance to the cafe was clearly visible so that customers could easily see the cafe was still open despite the roof works.
The End Result
The result is 20 roof lights replaced with bright, new ones, allowing the inside of the cafe to be filled with natural light. This helps the cafe match the atmosphere and earthy feel of the rest of Farmer Palmers.
